Imagine the French Alps, zoom in on Haute-Savoie, the slopes of the Portes du Soleil. Come a little closer, and you'll find the Charmhotel l'Équipe *** in the heart of the Morzine resort, right in the center of town and at the foot of the slopes, between lakes and mountains. Welcome to us, your new home, or rather your new haven of peace, a base for all your escapades and adventures in the Haut-Chablais mountains.
We're a 40-room hotel that opened in 1957, almost 70 years ago. A business as much as a family affair: we are the BÉARD family, Patrick (3rd generation to run the hotel) well supported by his wife Annabel, and helped by their children William, head chef, and Betty, in service and reception.
Our rooms have been renovated and furnished to offer comfort and softness: the marriage of old wood and mountain fabrics will immerse you in a very warm atmosphere. Each room has its own unique style, from double rooms overlooking the Pléney slopes, to spacious triple rooms, to princely Duplex Suites overlooking the cliffs of Avoriaz. Different in style and furnishings, but always in a cosy spirit, combining comfort, softness, warmth and cocooning... right down to the little stars in the bedroom ceilings to light up your nights.

What better way to start the day than with our full English buffet breakfast.Our varied catering offer will satisfy you summer and winter alike at lunchtime: an entirely homemade menu concocted by Chef William, who grew up in our kitchens, and who knows how to take advantage of the richness of the terroir to help you discover a cuisine of multiple flavors.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy a glass of mulled wine, a crêpe or a blueberry tart in front of the fire while watching the snowflakes on the ski slopes, or a detox cocktail by the pool to make the most of your vacation.
Finally, when it's time for dinner, our half-board offer reserved for our lodging guests features a different meal every evening, fresh and sought-after, not forgetting our traditional specialties, such as Fondue Savoyarde or Tartiflette.
While we encourage you to take full advantage of the mountains and their beauty through a number of activities such as a great day on the slopes, we also know that vacations are meant to be relaxing.That's why we offer you a SPA area within the hotel itself.
Enjoy a swim in the pool, sauna, hammam or jacuzzi.
You can also book in-house treatments with a qualified masseuse: relaxation is guaranteed in expert hands.
Our indoor pool at the foot of the mountains offers a zen-like, relaxing environment and an atmosphere of total plenitude.
And because we never forget anyone, a fitness area and squash room are at your disposal throughout your stay.
We are committed to welcoming you in the best possible conditions, and Patrick, who runs the hotel, has over the years consolidated the range of services available to you. A private 2-level underground parking lot allows you to come by car in complete peace of mind, with all your luggage in the boot.You can also store your skis, snowboards or bicycles in the dedicated secure room, and even put your ski boots away in our individual heated lockers... just perfect!
Morzine - Avoriaz, (1000m - 1800m) a single commune, two complementary resorts. Your stay at our Charmhotel l'Équipe is the ideal starting point for all your mountain activities. We're right in front of the Pléney gondola lift, as well as the shuttle bus stops for the various lifts leading to the Avoriaz and Les Gets ski areas.
In winter: downhill skiing or snowboarding, ski touring or cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating - there's no shortage of winter sports.
More than 650km of pistes are available with the Portes du Soleil ski areas, between France and Switzerland, in a single package.
All levels are welcome, from kindergarten green runs to steep, contemplative black runs. Snow-covered peaks are yours for the taking.
In summer: downhill mountain biking, trail biking, there's no shortage of lifts even without snow, so you can enjoy all the beauty of the mountains. Portes du Soleil offers you the Multipass (€3 per day per person for the duration of your stay) to take advantage of all the facilities at a reduced price during the summer season, as well as the municipal swimming pool, summer toboggan run, mini-golf, cinemas and other activities included in the price.
Crossing our mountains is a sporty and soothing experience: the Dents du Midi, Lac de Montriond, the goats of Les Lindarets, the tranquillity of Mont-Caly, the ecstasy at the top of Angolon... It's not unusual to come face to face with ibex, chamois, marmots, thistles, gentian or edelweiss on one of your hikes: mountain flora and fauna are rich in diversity.
This is the perfect opportunity to take one of the many hiking trails to our Refuge, located below the Pointe de Nyon, a high-altitude restaurant run by our daughter Betty: a haven of peace with breathtaking panoramic views, perched high above Lake Nyon-Guérin.
